Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Durban for the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program at Barrows. The role involves contributing to the design and development of innovative retail experiences, utilizing engineering principles to create effective solutions. Day-to-day tasks include creating and modifying designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, assisting with project management activities, and analyzing engineering data to optimize processes and products.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and ability to create and interpret technical drawings
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving and data-driven decision-making
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly
- Basic Project Management skills, with the ability to manage tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute to innovative retail solutions
- Bsc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Prior internship or practical experience in a related field is a plus
