The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, and servicing of our products, working closely with the senior team to ensure quality and timely delivery.
You will lead and guide team members, making sure they are trained effectively and that all products meet our standards.
You will play an active role in reviewing build processes and equipment, collaborating with senior colleagues to drive continuous improvement, reduce costs, and support product development. The position also involves carrying out service and maintenance work, including occasional assignments away from base as required.
What Youll Be Doing
- Build and assemble electrical panels, machines, and components following drawings and instructions, with a strong focus on quality, detail, and safety.
- Read schematics to set up, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring compliance with electrical safety codes.
- Manufacture components using hand tools and workshop machinery as per detail drawing.
- Proficient with bending and fitting of pipes for gas, water and refrigeration systems, pressure testing, weld and oxygen cleaning, preparation and fitting of insulation and application of corrosion prevention systems.
- Sign off controlled company documentation.
- Meet production targets and deadlines by planning workloads, assigning tasks, and guiding the teamwhile mentoring trainees to build skills and capability.
- Organise and keep machines and workshop areas used for all tasks clean. What were looking for:
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training (minimum NFQ Level 4) or has relevant industry experience in a similar technical role.
- Skilled in electrical and mechanical fitting, including full system assembly, wiring, and integrationable to set up and program valve drives, VSDs, and process controllers to a high standard.
- Knowledge of diving equipment and an understanding of life support requirements.
- Supervisory skills.
- Quality Assurance and Health and Safety within the work environment experience.
