PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The simulation and testing group in Boskop Product Development has a training opportunity for a graduate technician to receive exposure in the design and fabrication of custom test and measurement mechatronic systems. The training opportunity will cover a) assembly of mechatronic designs, concept design fabrication methods (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.) and Product testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in Circuit fabrication (soldering, etching, etc.)
- Support engineers and technicians in assembling of test hardware
- Support data collection and analysis for system improvements.
- Hardware fabrication
- Components procurement and collection
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures when working with electrical and mechanical systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- NQF level 6 Mechanical/Mechatronic/electronic engineering
- Interest in motors, gears, microelectronics, sensors, etc.
- Computer literacy.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good Planning and organizational abilities.
- Clear security screening.
