eCommerce & Retail Media Account Executive.
This is a hybrid role, located in Sandton with flexibility for some remote work.
Honest Marketing is looking for an eCommerce & Retail Media Account Executive that performance-driven, to support the execution, optimisation, and reporting of always-on retail media campaigns across multiple eCommerce platforms.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for day-to-day campaign management, performance monitoring, reporting, and coordination across internal teams, platforms, and account managers. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in retail media and eCommerce.
Job Responsibility
Campaign Execution & Optimisation
- Support the setup, execution, and ongoing optimisation of always-on retail media campaigns across various e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
- Monitor live campaigns to ensure correct flighting, pacing, placements, and budget delivery.
- Implement optimisation changes based on performance trends, platform feedback, and shopper behaviour.
- Participate in planning sessions and campaign briefings.
- Track key performance metrics including impressions, clicks, CTR, CPC, conversion, and sales performance.
- Compile weekly and monthly performance reports for internal teams and clients.
- Highlight key insights, learnings, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collect and store proof of flighting for all campaigns managed.
- Work closely with Account Managers to support client communication, reporting, and performance reviews.
- Assist in showcasing campaign results, growth trends, and optimisation impact to brand partners.
- Support ongoing always-on partnerships and campaign extensions.
- Liaise with creative teams to brief, adapt, and update campaign creatives based on platform requirements and performance.
- Ensure all creative assets meet platform specifications and are implemented correctly.
- Coordinate creative refreshes aligned to optimisation insights, seasonality, and campaign timelines.
- Manage creative approvals aligned to campaign timelines.
- Liaise with retail eCommerce platforms to manage campaign implementation, placements, timelines, and execution requirements.
- Ensure campaigns launch on time and align with platform best practices.
- Support platform-specific reporting and post-campaign reviews.
- Gather performance data (pre-, during-, and post-campaign).
- Manage queries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve campaign-related challenges.
Required
- 13 years experience in account management, digital media, eCommerce, or performance marketing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with numbers, reports, and performance data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to work cohesively within a team.
- Exposure to retail media networks, on-demand delivery apps, or eCommerce platforms.
- FMCG, liquor, or shopper marketing experience.
- Basic understanding of performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, conversion, and ROAS.
- Experience working in an agency or fast-paced environment.
- Dashboarding capabilities is a plus.
