MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To supervise the daily operations within the Accounts Department to ensure that the department and company goals are achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Supervise and develop team members
Compliance with Best Practice to achieve set goals
Ensure billing submission and receipting processes adhere to best practices
Ensure compliance with safekeeping of patients records to maintain confidentiality
Required Education
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalent
DESIRED EDUCATION: None
Required Experience
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role/capacity
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Understanding of private healthcare industry; Basic HR principles
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
- HR policies; systems; procedures and relevant legislation (including recruitment and performance management)
- Sound financial knowledge (e.g. reconciliations; debits and credits; adjustment journals; etc.)
- Business to Business Processes
- Medical schemes policies; rules; regulations; and tariff rules and structures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant aspects of legislation for the debt collection environment (e.g. National Credit Act; Consumer Protection Act; etc.)
