Description
Strategic Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for identifying and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
- Responsible for writing and designing all Easigas technical specifications in line with legislation and group requirements.
- Ensure the continuous functioning of all assets and proactively manage reliability and maintenance projects thereof.
- Provide sales support in terms of technical / engineering requirements as and when required.
- Managing new installation design and construction
- Plan and execute Capital Projects in line with approved budgets and set time lines to the best quality standards in a safe way.
- Ensure that an annual maintenance plan is in place and review deliverable per expectations
- Ensure re-qualification of spheres and tanks as and when required.
- Ensure re-qualification of spheres and tanks as and when required.
- Ensure that maintenance and re-qualification on installed systems and associated equipment are carried out in due time and by procedures and written schemes of examination.
- Ensure the continuous functioning of all assets and pro-actively manage reliability and maintenance.
- Automate and update the maintenance of all assets in line with company requirements.
- Ensure all field maintenance personnel deliver results in line with company requirements and expectations.
- Manage customer expectations (both internal and external) against what can be practically delivered in accordance with HSSE standards.
- Respond to emergencies and breakdowns ASAP and see action through until the issue is resolved.
- Ensure all employees within the Technical Department adhere to all safety standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that all new employees are inducted and on-boarded effectively and timeously ensuring that training on all policies, processes, and procedures is undertaken and documented.
The ideal candidate for the Strategic Operations Manager must have the following skills and Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12.
* Qualifications: Mechanical / Chemical Engineering Degree.
* Project Management qualification and/or experience would be advantageous.
* Minimum 7 -10 year's experience in an Oil & Gas Environment.
* Minimum 5-10 year's experience in a similar role.
* Technical knowledge in process.
* Ability to prioritise and organise a demanding workload, adapting to fit the changing needs of the business.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively - verbally and in writing - with internal and external contacts, at all levels.
* Knowledge of regulations and standards for mechanical design, specification, installation, and maintenance with specific reference to hazardous area applications.
