Main Purpose Of The Job
- The purpose of the role is to provide full plant support to a sugar milling operation, to ensure continuous and reliable production.
- Minimize loss time
- The role works on a 3 shift pattern and the millwright is assigned an assistant
- Perform preventative maintenance activities
- Perform corrective maintenance activities
- Attend to breakdowns and callouts
- Perform repairs and overhaul of mechanical and electrical equipment including installation and commissioning.
- Perform new installation as per plant requirement
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as per operational needs.
- Contribute to plant reliability by highlighting defects and completion of work orders
- General housekeeping
- Ensure SHE Compliance, comply will all safety rules and regulations
- Millwright/Fitting (Trade tested)
- Minimum 3 years fitting experience in a heavy-duty environment preferably at a sugar mill
- Must have strong aptitude for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation in a sugar mill environment
- Strong problem solving and fault finding skills
- Experience with SAP PM or a similar maintenance management system
- The ideal candidate must work well in a team environment,
