- Install and Drive a culture of Zero Harm aligning to the Site's standards,
- BWE standards and our Principals (CAT).
- Implement and execute the onsite Condition Monitoring strategy.
- Responsible for implementing formalised Condition Monitoring practices and procedures
- Conduct frequent Condition Monitoring assessments to ensure compliance to practises and procedures.
- Implement corrective steps if needed and follow up to ensure compliance.
- Lead and oversee on site defect detection and root cause analysis.
- Recommend corrective actions for implementation based on planned, before failure principles.
- Monitor corrective action implementation based on defect detection and root cause analysis recommendations.
- Drive recommended actions, deriving from root cause analysis.
- Manage and oversee the Application severity assessments (incl operator abuse) and reporting to the Technical Support Manager.
- Manage and oversee on site Product Problem Management and Service Letter execution.
- Work in close cooperation with regional technical department and central Service Engineering Department.
- Advise Planning Department of recommend actions related to equipment health, maintenance application and operation.
- Review short- and long-term component replacement schedule/ forecast by utilising condition monitoring information (daily inspection, oil samples, machine health incidents, operator abuses and site severity) and MARC component budget information from Analyzer or AMT
- B. Engineering (Mechanical Engineer) or Grade 12 with formal artisan qualification.
- Sound machine and component operational knowledge.
- Minimum Required Experience 5 years of previous Machine analytical and troubleshooting experience.
- Solid understanding of oil analysis interpretation.
- Basic understanding of technology enabled solution
- Track record of successful machine systems troubleshooting including oil sample results interpretation and machine health systems (VIMS, Site Severity, ET, FPO)
- Sound Equipment Management Skills
- Good working knowledge of the Minerals Act (with sound knowledge of safety rules and regulations)
- Sound MS Office knowledge with emphasis on Excel
- Good understanding of CAT Warrant and Problem-Solving Skills
- Analytical thinking and judgement
- Numerical reasoning skills
