Compliance Monitoring Officer

Purpose

To monitor and report on the effectiveness of those controls in the management of the organisation's exposure to risks (monitoring and detection).

Minimum Requirements

Bcom/LLB/Quality Assurance qualification.
1-3 years monitoring experience within a Banking or Insurance environment.
Experience in liaising with Senior/Manager level.
Working knowledge of S.A legislation (Banks Act, FICS, FAIS, NCA, BCOEA, LRA, CPA, LTIA, STIA, TCF etc).

Main Duties

Compliance Monitoring.
Compliance Reporting.
Advisory, Awareness and Training.
Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance.
Create understanding of the 'real' versus 'perceived' need through experience and expertise while complying with company polices legislation and regulations.
Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications and/or face to face meetings.
