National Key Account Manager (Retail)

You're an accomplished National Key Account Manager with a proven track record in consistently achieving year-over-year revenue growth. Your intricate understanding within the retail landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa, focus on Southern Africa and deep insights into the main countries' top retailers, their market and their customers sets you apart. You are responsible for the implementation and adaption of the global sales strategy for the business. Your ability to thrive independently while overseeing multiple projects speaks volumes about your expertise.

What you'll be doing

You will be driving the sales growth of the business looking after key accounts and channel partners nationwide, while also overseeing the existing team of sales representatives and fostering their continuous development to bolster the company's business endeavours. You'll mentor and empower your team to provide robust support to their business objectives. By cultivating relationships with key account customers and channel partners, you'll drive the expansion of their product portfolio. Your innovative mindset will shine as you explore new business models through meticulous market research and differentiation from competitors. Collaborating seamlessly with various departments, you'll ensure customer needs are met and satisfaction is exceeded. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to key accounts and proposing tailored solutions from their product line.

Where you'll be doing it

You have the flexibility to choose your location anywhere within South Africa. You will be require to travel 75% of the time within Sub-Saharan Africa.

What you'll need

You will have at least 5 years proven experience in key account management within the equipment and/or software sales in the retail industry. You will have a proven track record of consistent year-over-year revenue growth. You will have deep knowledge of Sub-Saharan African accounts within this sector. You will have the ability to work independently and managing multiple projects to completion.
