Job Purpose

To execute the CDR strategy through collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of Proof-of-Concept treatments through an iterative approach to optimise collections and recoveries, thus reducing risk and provisions .

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Proof of Concept treatments through an iterative approach cycle of ideation, incubation, and acceleration.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and improve areas in the lifecycle with bottlenecks, inhibitors and/or obstacles to change and succeed, improve accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
  • Identify gaps by using various problem discovery methods gaps and recommend the appropriate solution for a seamless client experience.
  • Analyse innovation solution capabilities in the market to identify opportunities to disrupt current business solutions and industry best-practice, develop new and enhance existing solutions to meet stakeholder expectations, maximise the return of investment and position the Business Unit as thought leaders.
  • Support the establishment of business and technical relationships.
  • Review, analyse and evaluate the success of Proof of Concept Treatments
  • Review treatment design proposals to evaluate whether benefits will be achieved.
Job Responsibilities Continue

  • Drive on-going value proposition delivery reporting, including CDR driven change initiatives, based on detailed understanding of the as-is value chain and desired gold standard, identify current short comings and actual root causes to be resolved.
  • Provide CDR representation and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) input to Ops Risk and other Risk stakeholders.
  • Drive internal engagement through SME's to prioritise improvements.
  • Monitor CDR data quality and ongoing initiatives.
  • Responsible for programme planning in the context of CDR value delivery.
  • Review proposed changes with operational execution in context of CDR value and performance needs.
  • Evaluate client and market changes and/or external forces.
  • Ensure CDR Performance Evaluation
  • Ensure alignment to governance and compliance requirements.

  • Foster and enable innovation increasing the value add of the function through breakthrough services, products, or practices.
  • Identify innovative trends that could enhance the value-add of the function.
  • Monitor key expectations of stakeholders internal/external and build long -term relationships to ensure a strategic partnership.
  • Drive identification and development of innovative solutions to enable efficient, effective, and proactive Credit Risk Management practices.
  • Develop reports that will track the efficiency of the implemented solution to ensure the effectiveness of the process.
  • Drive the ongoing review and update of Credit/Risk Policies, Guidelines, Procedures, Processes, etc in line with relevant legislations/regulations to achieve effective and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Provide support to CDR through engagement, collaboration, and alignment with relevant stakeholders to support the achievement of Strategic objectives of the business area.
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
