Digital Marketing Manager

Job Description

Payfast by Network is looking for a strategic and performance-driven Digital Marketing Manager to lead and scale our digital sales and activation strategy. This role is pivotal to driving merchant acquisition and revenue growth through digital platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in building and optimizing full-funnel digital marketing campaigns that convert. You will own digital sales targets and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure execution is aligned to business growth goals.

You must have a deep understanding of data and analytics and be able to translate insights into agile marketing strategies that adapt to a fast-moving fintech environment. This role requires a hands-on executor with strong commercial acumen and a bias for measurable results.

Responsibilities
  • Own and deliver digital sales targets across paid media, SEO, website journeys, CRM, and conversion funnels.
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns with a focus on merchant acquisition and product take-up.
  • Partner with product, sales, and analytics teams to align digital efforts with commercial and platform objectives.
  • Use data and insight to continuously improve performance, conversion, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage digital agency partners and in-house resources to ensure timely and quality campaign delivery.
  • Define and track KPIs, produce regular performance reports, and communicate results to leadership.
  • Build and optimize the merchant journey across platforms (including web, paid, and CRM) to maximize engagement and sales.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and product marketing teams to create compelling, conversion-focused assets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to improve ROI
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce engaging digital content
  • Manage social media presence and develop strategies for audience growth and engagement
  • Create and maintain the digital marketing budget, allocating resources effectively
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of digital marketing specialists
  • Stay ahead of digital trends and technologies to keep Payfast by Network at the forefront of fintech marketing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, Digital Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 57 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a performance marketing or growth marketing role.
  • Proven success in delivering against digital sales targets and scaling acquisition campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Programmatic, SEO).
  • Experience using analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Hubspot, or similar) to track and optimize performance.
  • Strong grasp of A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and funnel management.
  • Experience working in fintech, SaaS, or e-commerce environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and agency oversight experience.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a passion for results and data-driven decision making.
