Job Description
- Assist with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
- Build and develop strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for business expansion.
- Liaise with the team regarding sample deliveries and customer visits.
- Oversee the sample room, ensuring it is well-organised, up-to-date, and stocked with active items.
- Coordinate sample deliveries and manage inventory to support customer needs and marketing initiatives.
- Regularly visit clients to gather feedback, update CRM records, and provide market insights.
- Monitor and report on market trends to identify opportunities for new product promotions or adjustments.
- Gather and analyse data on competitors, customer preferences, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
- Market new and existing products to current and potential clients.
- Conduct sessions for client representatives on product features, benefits, and usage.
- Manage the lifecycle of new product development, from initial concept through testing and launch.
- Conduct market research to gather insights on competitors, customer preferences, and industry developments.
- Work closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to support marketing initiatives.
- Address customer concerns promptly.
- Prepare and participate in client meetings, including organizing logistics and materials.
- Plan and participate in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase products and network with potential clients.
- Hold bi-monthly meetings with the sales and NDB manager to discuss sample deliveries, customer visits, market trends, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the marketing and sales teams and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Relevant degree or post-matric diploma/qualification
- Proven experience in marketing or a related field.
- Experience within the food and/or packaging industry is an advantage
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and data.
- Proficiency in marketing software and CRM systems.
- Syspro and power bi experience will be to your advantage
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Bilingual
- Valid unendorsed drivers license and own reliable vehicle.
