Community Nurse

NHS Grampian is looking for a motivated, experienced professional to take up the permanent role of Clinical Procurement Specialist. This person will assist the Organisation in achieving effective and efficient use of medical and surgical supplies whilst maintaining quality.

They will provide clinical support and advice through knowledge and experience to multidisciplinary healthcare professionals across NHS Grampian in relation to the selection, evaluation, procurement and use of clinical equipment.

This person will take the lead to develop and maintain an interface between all clinical service users and the Procurement Service regarding the use and acquisition of medical and surgical products, redesigning and controlling stock and non-stock purchases to achieve the financial target.

The successful candidate will have a positive approach that demonstrates a willingness to work as part of a team, to propose ideas and solutions which in turn deliver a better service to our staff and patients.

They will have a relevant degree and/or be a Registered Nurse or an Allied Health Professional who will use their specialist medical and surgical knowledge to influence change. The post holder will evidence their experience of working within a Health, social care or related public sector environment and evidence their ability to deal with problems efficiently and effectively.
