Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To fill a vacancy and be responsible for teaching & learning, research and community engagement in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Curriculum studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching Undergraduate Modules.
  • Teaching and Supervision: Postgraduate.
  • Research Publications.
  • Community Service.
  • Study Guide and Material Development.
  • Support of Research Entity.
  • Initiating and Planning of Strategic Research Initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF level 10).
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in higher education.
  • Have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
  • Author of at least 5 articles/books/chapters in the field since 2020.
  • Supervision of at least 2 Med students and 1 PhD student to completion.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge And Skills)
  • Have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the field.
  • Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
  • Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.
Behavioural Competencies
  • Team worker.
  • Good interpersonal relations.
