Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To fill a vacancy and be responsible for teaching & learning, research and community engagement in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Curriculum studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Undergraduate Modules.
- Teaching and Supervision: Postgraduate.
- Research Publications.
- Community Service.
- Study Guide and Material Development.
- Support of Research Entity.
- Initiating and Planning of Strategic Research Initiatives.
- A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF level 10).
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in higher education.
- Have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
- Author of at least 5 articles/books/chapters in the field since 2020.
- Supervision of at least 2 Med students and 1 PhD student to completion.
- Have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
- Demonstrate leadership in the field.
- Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
- Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.
- Team worker.
- Good interpersonal relations.
