About The Role
If you are open to relocating, we are offering up to $10, 000 AUD to cover expenses in moving to within a 60-minute drive to one of our sites (located at multiple locations across New South Wales and Victoria, in Australia). This reimbursement can be used for moving costs, travel costs or temporary accommodation and can be discussed further when you apply.
We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated and professional team. You will use your skills and knowledge in Occupational Therapy to provide flexible family-centred services to children and adults with a disability and their families, within the context of a trans- or multi-disciplinary team and to maintain efficient and effective practices in line with Aruma policies and procedures. Negotiable annual salary AUD $85k - $105k + super + salary packaging + employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the communication needs of children and adults using appropriate assessments and observation processes.
  • Develop professional relationships with customers and their families, which respect individual styles and acknowledge their strengths and capabilities.
  • Support customers/families to identify their priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Participate in initial assessment interviews to determine appropriate ongoing service plan for the child/customer and their family.
  • To participate in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of individualised service plans.
About You
  • A recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy (equivalent to Aust. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy)
  • Current member or eligible to register with relevant professional association, with willingness to seek AHPRA registration in Australia.
  • Commitment to Arumas Strategic Intent, Purpose, Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Integrity and a sense of humour.
