Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About The YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africas youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.
Position: Office Administrator
Stipend: R8, 500
Location: Lynwood (Pretoria)
We are seeking an Office Administrator Intern to provide administrative and operational support while gaining practical workplace experience. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to develop administrative, organizational, and professional office skills in a supportive environment.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily office administration and filing (physical and digital)
- Handle basic correspondence, emails, and phone calls
- Schedule meetings and assist with calendar management
- Prepare and format documents, reports, and internal communications
- Support basic record keeping, data capturing, and document management
- Assist with office supplies management and coordination with suppliers
- Provide general administrative support to management and staff
- South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
- Matric.
- Qualification in Film, Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, Events Management, Creative Arts, or a related field.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a structured environment
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team and engage with external stakeholders such as facilitators, creatives, and partners.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow programme briefs and guidelines.
