- Ensure all BWE employees in area of responsibility fully understand the requirements of existing health and safety legislation

- Contractors pack compilation includes maintenance, expiry and management thereof.
- Audit relevant BWE sites and contractors packs
- Conduct regular on-site appraisals of premises and housekeeping, electrical, mechanical and personal safeguards, fire protection and security standards.
- Grade 12 or equivalent with a technical background
- At least 3 - 4 years experience in Health and Safety Management
- Health and safety qualifications
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
- SAMTRAC or equivalent certification
- Computer literate (Sound knowledge of MS office)
- Drivers licence Code B
- Analytical ability, judgement and decision-making
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Assertiveness, investigative orientation (probing / information seeking)
- Effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of multi-functional team
