Key Account Sales Specialist

My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial hydraulic equipment, serving a diverse range of industries across the continent. Their commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has positioned them as a trusted partner in the hydraulics industry. They are seeking an ambitious and results-driven External Sales and Marketing Consultant to join their team and spearhead their sales efforts in the African market.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets in the African region.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide expert advice and tailored solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Prepare and present professional sales proposals, quotations, and technical documentation.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring that all terms are favorable to the company and aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our products and expand our market presence.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product range, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in external sales, with a focus on industrial equipment or related fields.
  • Experience in hydraulics or a strong engineering background is essential.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the African region.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional African languages is a plus.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
