Role Summary
We're looking for a skilled Bookkeeper who knows their way around QuickBooks Online and has a solid grasp of accounting principles. If you've got experience with software migrations (think Quicken, Xero, Sage QBO), even better. If you've touched law firm trust accounting, that's a gold star.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently but isn't afraid to ask questions, raise a hand when something looks off, and collaborate on solutions. Bonus points if you like strong coffee and a good laugh while crunching numbers.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate client books in QBO.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
- Categorize transactions and prepare clean, timely reports.
- Assist with system migrations (Quicken/Xero/Sage QBO).
- Use Keeper and 1Password to securely manage client access and collect documents.
- Support cleanups and catch-up projects (yes, the messy books can be the most fun).
- (Preferred) Help with law firm trust accounting and three-way reconciliations.
- 3+ years US bookkeeping experience with strong accounting knowledge.
- Advanced QuickBooks Online skills.
- Tech-savvy you don't run from new tools.
- Comfortable asking questions and clarifying when things don't add up.
- Independent, reliable, and detail-focused.
- Experience with law firm bookkeeping and/or Clio (legal management software).
