Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Play Therapist to join us in supporting the emotional well-being of children aged 6 to 13.
This part-time opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children who have experienced trauma and adversity.
Youll work in a warm, child-centred environment alongside a team committed to healing and growth. Therapy sessions will be conducted on-site at our home in Gardens, Cape Town, on selected weekdays as agreed with our team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver individual play therapy sessions tailored to the emotional and developmental needs of each child
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of each session and the childs progress
- Collaborate with our in-house team when necessary to support each child holistically
- Invoice the Childrens Home monthly for services rendered
- Registered and licensed Play Therapist in good standing
- Demonstrated experience working with children in a therapeutic setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with professional discretion
