HC Workday, Payroll and Analytics Specialist

Key Result Areas

Data Analysis, Reporting and Tracking
  • Strong focus on MIS, data analysis, trends and reporting
  • Compiles and consolidates reports and analytics for HC
  • Provides monthly and quarterly reports on the various HR practices
  • Compiles HC report for Old Mutual Investment Group Boards
  • Provides necessary support for the BBBEE verification process
  • Supports the Transformation Committee and the Employee Diversity forum with analytics including projections and target setting
  • Analyses HC information and recommends ways of improving OMIG EE and Skills score
  • Provides regular HR trend analysis, forecasts, and scenario planning
  • Tracks and monitors EE and Skills as well as certain HR metrics against targets
  • Ad hoc projects and reporting specifically for Institutional Tender teams

End-to-End Workday Support
  • Owns the end-to-end support of Workday transactions for OMIG, including onboarding, promotions, increases, staff transfers, and offboarding
  • Ensures line manager and employee support on workday related queries and transactions
  • Maintain a system of records for all employees on Workday and on shared drives
  • Assist in maintaining a paperless environment which may include tasks such as scanning employee files and documents, filing and data entry onto Workday
  • Control the flow of administration documents through the Workday business process ensuring that all documents and tasks are carried out to business set procedures

Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Provides support to the Remuneration manager on all remuneration and payroll related activities
  • Provide guidance to new employees about medical aid plan choices, and other benefit related matters
  • Handle benefit enquiries and provide quick, efficient, and accurate resolution.
  • Conduct all exit administration, including retirements, ill health.
  • Facilitate, co-ordinate and administer employee disability matters.
  • Support employees in the administration of the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) for retirements, maternity leave, dismissals, and retrenchments.
  • Review enrolment forms and other benefit document for accuracy and completeness.
  • Serve as a primary contact and provide support to employees in response to their payroll and benefit requests, enquiries, and need for benefits information.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
Must have completed or studying towards a relevant qualification such as BCom or Business Analysis, with a focus on statistics or data analytics.
Good working knowledge of the Workday HC system
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in HR Administration, MIS data and analysis and HR Practices
Evidence of work done around data interpretation analysis, and reporting for various HR practices
Knowledge and experience of BBBEE and DTI verification, incl EE and SD scorecards
Specialist knowledge in Skills and Learning management administration
Proficient in MS Excel - advanced, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Knowledge of Power BI advantageous
