Plant manager - Biological Fertiliser

An established manufacturer specialised agricultural products is seeking an experienced Production/Operations Manager to effectively run the operations of a newly established plant in the North West Province.

Minimum Requirements For The Role
  • Must have a Bachelor of Engineering or similar tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a similar management role, within a Chemical manufacturing and blending environment is essential
  • Must be proficient in managing capital budgets and projects
  • Experience in the skilful management of suppliers, service providers, and third-party contractors will be required
  • Knowledge of foliar feed and biological fertiliser production will be a distinct advantage
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
  • Managing the raw material intake process, planning, and quality control.
  • Supervising and managing fertiliser production activities.
  • Overseeing the outbound distribution process.
  • Ensuring the execution of maintenance functions.
  • Upholding housekeeping standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO requirements.
  • Efficiently managing costs and stock.
  • Handling administration functions.
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Compiling and submitting monthly reports.
