We have an opportunity for a Risk Administrator in our Risk Admin Department at Emerald based in Fourways, Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities
- Administering of New Business/Renewals and endorsements on the system
- Cancellations and Lapsing of Policies
- Ensure premiums, reinsurance calculations, and survey fees are accurate and correctly loaded on systems
- Send out debit notes where required
- Accurate record keeping on relevant platforms
- Issuing of SASRIA coupons, ensure calculations are correct, save in Client folder and dispatch all relevant documentation
- Finalising policies within delegated authority
- Assist with policy queries
- Understanding the various global processes and their unique operating portals
- Liaising with global and or brokers instructions on New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, and Sasria Quotes
- Administering the fronting business at 100% fac. out to the global partner.
- Assist credit control with queries as well as contact details to ensure outstanding premiums are kept to a minimum
- Assist claims with policy queries
- Support Head Risk Administration
- Maintain and ensure good relations with Brokers/Clients and Colleagues
- Maintaining a clean desk policy
- Get involved in the Emerald mentorship programme and other development programmes within the Insurance Industry
- Maintain a high level of self-discipline, attendance, and reliability.
- Maintain professionalism, honesty, and integrity as Emerald holds these in high regard
- Matric
- Mathematically astute
- Computer literate especially Excel
- Experience in the Insurance Industry
- Proportional and Non-Proportional Reinsurance (Facultative and Treaty)
- SASRIA and its Regulations
- Attention to detail and analytical skills on the requirements/components.
- Team player and exercise commitment, e.g., during cut-off days/peak period
- Must have a drive for self-development and take up challenges
