Reporting to the CFO and Exco
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- CA (SA) qualification with 4 years post article experience
- Corporate finance experience required
- Strong practical understanding of taxation
- The digitalisation of systems and a keen interest in new technology are a plus (use of SQL reporting, automation of management account process etc.)
- Review management accounts and prepare monthly reporting pack for the EXCO
- Review and improve internal controls and systems
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organisation are met
- Deal structuring and other transaction-related matters
- Managing relationships with banks and other stakeholders on financing requirements
- Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate
- Project management accounting
