Position Overview
We have an opportunity for a Problem Manager to join us at Sipcom, our fast-growing telecommunications and digital transformation organisation. Acquired by the Advania group in 2021, the company is going from strength to strength and is looking to expand their footprint further.
As a Problem Manager you will manage the end-to-end Problem Management Process through identifying, analysing, and resolving problems and incidents related to IT Services. It is an important strategic position that enables Sipcom to offer the level of service required by clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with IT support teams, business users and vendors to identify and resolve issues
- Implementing preventative measures to reduce likelihood of future incidents
- Ensure problems and incidents and tracked, reported, and communicated effectively
- Introduce incident reduction programs
- Use industry standard techniques to conduct root cause analysis (Ishikawa / 5 Why's, etc)
- Collaborate with Incident Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management and CSI processes to help best implement workarounds and permanent fixes
- Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders across customers and partners
- Provide high level monthly reporting, including recommendations for improvement
- Prior professional experience in a Problem or Incident-focused position
- Experience of managing or coaching others
- Highly attuned interpersonal and relationship-building skills
