- Functional management of the Primary Processing Departments, Rendering Plant, and Waste Water Treatment Plant;
- Municipal and RO Plant water supply to the Processing Plant;
- Managing all labour related matters inclusive of manning, productivity and industrial relations;
- Managing production processes and maintaining efficiency standards in terms of quality, meeting required outputs and targets, process flow, volumes, food safety and hygiene;
- Optimising production throughput having regard for market requirements and Plant capacities;
- Daily interaction with various departmental and inter-group role players at management level;
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity and safety;
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and industry standards;
- Training, supervising and motivating staff to achieve production goals;
- Maintaining a good IR climate and high morale;
- Managing of Quality, Food Safety, and Health & Safety standards and regulations;
- Managing of and implementing 20 Keys.
- A tertiary qualification together with at least 5 years management experience in the FMCG environment;
- Proven experience in food processing or manufacturing, preferably in the poultry industry;
- Proactive problem solver with good communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving and planning skills;
- Able to manage a diverse and large work force in a unionised environment;
- Fully computer literate;
- Be prepared to work shifts, weekends & public holidays and additional hours when necessary:
- Have a passion for and demonstrable experience with implementing 20 Keys
