Procurement Administrator

Purpose Of The Role

The Procurement Administrator provides support services to the Mine which is not limited to identifying materials / resources required on site to be procured, drafting of service level agreements, ensuring timeous ordering of stock and materials, and tracking orders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Requesting of quotation / proposals
  • Screening of suppliers and contractors
  • Timeously ordering of stock and material
  • Control and monitoring of expenses against budget
  • Tracking of orders and following up on delivery times
  • Reconciliation of order discrepancies with suppliers
  • Vendor on-boarding and maintenance
  • Processing of requisitions and purchase orders
  • General administration
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12
  • Certificate / Diploma in Supply chain or relevant qualification
  • Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid drivers license
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position in the mining industry (compulsory)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of mining processes
