Product Engineer (JB1212)
Our client develops and manufactures innovative solutions that supports the medical industry by providing quality products.
The medium-sized company is corporate in size but the environment is like a family, they look for employees that are honest, willing to assist others and are engaging. They have excellent staff retention and a canteen on site with vending machines for snacks.
As the Product Engineer, you will work closely with the CEO to develop new cutting edge products, experience developing small delicate items will be very important to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test processes for producing prototypes and long-term production of products.
Define quality control criteria and safety guidelines.
Test products and processes and evaluate results to identify problems and estimate the cost of resolutions.
Produce detailed designs and drawings, acting as a technical expert on products and processes.
Analyze and improve existing processes and products, including updating documentation.
Analyzing market and industry product trends.
Using industry knowledge to come up with unique product ideas
Coordinating with the product development team to discuss and finalize product ideas
Conducting theoretical testing on design models.
Creating full product designs and specifications using computer software modelling techniques.
Testing product prototypes to adjust design flaws
Evaluating the product prototype to identify potential safety hazards
Consulting with shipping managers and logisticians to determine cost-effective manufacturing procedures and materials
Determining product feasibility costs and return on investments.
Selecting product materials and designing the product manufacturing process.
Overseeing the start of the manufacturing process to ensure productivity and safety
Overseeing production and ensuring that products conform to market specifications and safety regulations.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
Previous experience working as a product engineer/developer
Advanced analytical and design skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of industry and market trends.
Ability to visualize theoretical models and design ideas.
Good project management skills.
A keen eye for detail.
