Job Purpose: To help grow SEACOMs addressable market with Global Carriers and Service Providers bydeveloping, managing, and supporting all aspects of assigned product areas, which may vary from time to time but are intended to be: Wireless connectivity, Mobile and LTE services, LEO and GEO services, Carrier Services.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field but not vital as long as the candidate has extensive experience
Relevant certifications in wireless or satellite technologies (e.g., RF engineering, satellite network design, PMP) are a plus.
Other Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
3 - 5 years' experience in product management within the telecoms, satellite, or wireless connectivity sector.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end product lifecycles from concept to market delivery.
Experience engaging with enterprise, carrier, or government customers, particularly in remote, rural, or underserved market segments.
Background in collaborating with network engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
Achievement and customer oriented.
Independent, creative and with drive.

The Product Manager is the business owner for the assigned product area/s and is generally responsible for market awareness, research and analysis to idea generation to business case development to product specifications, to product profitability management and enhancements. Specifics are set out below.
Product Development and Planning:
Provide input into a Five Year plan of Revenue, revenue driven OPEX and CAPEX
Developing relationships and capabilities with 3rd party suppliers across SEACOM market territories as required to support assigned products.
Provide input and manage a product roadmap:
o Manage a pipeline of Product Initiatives for new products, product enhancements, new territories, new PoPs, or cost reduction. This includes the development of business cases with stakeholders that leads to a decision.
o Manage the implementation of Product Initiatives including managing dependencies and managing stakeholders to RFS
o Launch Product Initiatives with pricing readiness, margin analysis, approved T&Cs, training of sales, readiness of support functions, sales collateral, sales incentives, and sales targets
Product Management:
Review and assess product performance:
o Market: Through analysis of individual territories, define targeted segments and related tactics, which include a differentiated value proposition matched to a suitable product.
o Product Features: Advising on relevant feature enhancements
o Pricing: Establishing SEACOM price points and tracking movement in the market
o Costing: Managing costing structures
o Margin: Responsible entirely for product margins. Tracking and reporting of the margin on products, and the overall success based budget.
Enable the sales team through:
o Providing market insight. Specific guidance on what to sell to whom and why
o Providing competitive insight and response tactics
o Providing the necessary tools including the pricing tool, marketing collateral and proposal templates as well as assisting in generating business requirements for systems.
o Training on the product portfolio, pricing and tools available to sales
o Developing campaigns through collaboration with marketing to generate sales leads
o Own and manage the Lead to Cash process
Enable the various SEACOM functions to support the products:
o Provide product & service descriptions and sales contract documentation.
o Provide training on the product portfolio
o Work with stakeholders to ensure that they maintain processes and internal product support documentation for Fulfilment, Assurance and Billing
Assist management to make decisions on non-standard bids though the production of business cases
Strategic Initiatives:
Identify and assess projects that could lead to market growth
Identify and assess projects that could reduce cost of products
Generally do all such things, which although not specifically referred to herein, are necessary and/ or required for the due, proper, and efficient rendering of the Services for the purpose contemplated in this agreement.
