As the Product Manager for our hotspots, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a talented team and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities related to our Hotspot product line. Your primary focus will be driving the success of our hotspot products, ensuring their market competitiveness, and delivering an exceptional user experience.

What you will be doing
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our Hotspot product, aligning with the companys overall objectives. 
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and use the insights to inform product development decisions.
  • Define the product roadmap, prioritise features and enhancements, and communicate the strategic vision to cross-functional teams.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring product milestones are met within the specified timeline.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Network, Engineering, Field Teams and Quality Assurance teams to define product requirements, specifications, and user experience.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and high-quality product releases, and actively participate in the testing and validation process.
  • Lead and manage a team of product professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather feedback, address customer needs, and ensure successful product launches.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop effective go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales collateral.
  • Act as a product ambassador, representing the company and the hotspot product line at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and performance of the hotspot product line.
  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new feature development.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to derive meaningful insights from product data and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A relevant diploma or degree will be advantageous.
Relevant Skills and Experience
  • 5 years experience in product management roles or similar, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Basic understanding of product management principles and practices, gained through coursework or self-study.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data, perform market research, and derive insights to support decision-making.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic technical aptitude to understand software development processes, technology concepts, and effectively communicate with engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify issues, propose solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Passion for technology, product innovation, and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build and track financial budgets.
  • Computer literacy skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
