Job description
The Junior Project Planner will assist in developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules to support the successful delivery of projects. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project schedules in collaboration with senior planners and project managers.
- Support the maintenance of project timelines and milestones using planning tools and methodologies.
- Monitor project progress and assist in updating schedules to reflect actual performance.
- Participate in regular meetings with project teams to gather updates and communicate schedule changes.
- Help coordinate resource allocation to ensure projects are adequately staffed and on track.
- Prepare basic status reports and presentations related to project timelines and performance.
- Contribute to the identification of potential risks and delays in the project schedule.
- Learn and utilise planning software (Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project) to assist in data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling processes, updates, and decisions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while assisting in project planning activities.
- Bachelors degree in Construction/Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 02 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or any project management related works.
- Familiarity with project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar) is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
