Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer located in Cape Town. The Project Engineer will manage technical project planning, design, and execution related to food packaging equipment. Duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting system troubleshooting, monitoring project progress, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions. The role will also involve creating project documentation, implementing quality control measures, and adhering to safety standards during project execution.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Engineering Design, Mechanical Systems, and CAD software
- Strong understanding of Project Management, Budgeting, and Planning
- Technical Problem-Solving, Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis skills
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance standards
- Proven ability to collaborate within cross-disciplinary teams
- Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields)
- Professional engineering certification is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the food packaging or related manufacturing industry is a plus
- Ability to perform on-site work in Cape Town, South Africa
