Key Duties And Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Innovation
  • Act as an SME for Life Sciences, Natural Science & Technology driving product innovation in line with current pedagogical trends such as competency-based learning, blended learning, and STEAM education.
  • Research market needs, curricula, and policy documents to develop cutting-edge products and services aligned with submission and tender requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with curriculum officials and stakeholders to ensure alignment with the latest educational policies and trends.
Content Development
  • Develop and manage product plans, including instructional design and digital briefs, ensuring a balance between traditional and modern learning approaches.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain leading authors and SMEs, with a focus on expertise in digital content creation and inclusive pedagogy.
  • Oversee the creation of print and digital content, ensuring relevance, accessibility, and alignment with pedagogy frameworks.
Production & Testing
  • Ensure product vision is upheld throughout the production process, providing guidance on content, artwork, and design.
  • Develop and validate prototypes and full products, incorporating feedback to improve quality and market relevance.
Educational Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary degree in Life Sciences, Natural Science & Technology or related fields (e.g., B.Sc., B.Ed.).
Experience Requirements
  • At least five years of experience in teaching, publishing, or market-related roles in Life Science.
  • Proven experience in managing in-house and freelance teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering innovative educational content and products.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
