Redheads Engineering Solutions is currently recruiting for a Quality and Fabrication Inspector.
Qualifications (Dependent On Experience)
- Relevant Trade Qualification - Red Seal Artisan (Fitter & Turner/Boilermaker/Millwright).
- SAIW Level II Welding and Fabrication Inspector.
- NDE (MPI & LPT) Qualifications (advantageous).
- Over 5 years experience with construction and engineering equipment manufacturing.
- Over 5 years of experience working on construction sites.
- Quality Control and Fabrication experience on a vast array of engineering and furnace equipment.
- Sound knowledge of fabrication processes, calculations, and welding.
- In-depth knowledge of construction codes (AWS, ASME, EN ISO).
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to issue and verify welding documentation (WPS/PQR/WQR).
- ISO 9001 QMS Knowledge and Experience.
- Be in possession of a valid SA drivers license.
- Have a reliable motor vehicle, as this position requires a lot of driving.
- Be able to communicate fluently orally and in writing.
- Be fully computer literate.
- Be able to work under the pressure of deadline-based projects; motivating suppliers to meet targets and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
- A Team Player.
- Ensure that the Quality and Fabrication of equipment are done in accordance with client specifications and the relevant construction code/s.
- Quality Inspections at various suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Compilation of ITPs/QCPs and TIPs.
- Issuance of comprehensive inspection reports.
- Liaise with project team members, suppliers, and customers on quality-related issues and possible solutions.
