The Quality Assurance Manager at Fruitalyst is responsible for overseeing quality control, stock management, and customer satisfaction within the Midrand stager. This role ensures the consistent quality of fresh produce by managing staging operations, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in Quality Assurance or Business Administration
- Minimum three years experience
- Drivers license
- Knowledge of fresh fruit quality assurance preferably citrus
- Competency in systems and processes
- Good acumen for continuous process improvement
- Leadership skills with the desire to further develop

1. Management of Gauteng staging operations and quality control of product
- Weekly reporting
- Daily visits
- Stock and inventory management
- Quality control of incoming and outgoing product
- Regular engagement with Stager as required
- Optimization of processes & protocols
- SOP measurements/audits
- Regular DC visits
- Engagement with the customer technical team
- Regular engagement with market agents
- Attend to quality and admin-related matters
- Assist with enforcement of quality & brand specs
- Stock control
- Visit Northern Packhouses Hoedspruit, Nelspruit, Burgersfort
- System optimization
- Manage accreditations and retailer requirements
- Packaging inventory management and quality of packing materials
- Assist with import/local program quality control
- Assist with enforcement of quality & brand specs
- Engage with the retail team on any quality challenges
- Investigate substandard product & packaging
- Visit stores to benchmark product
- Assist with the management of in-store tasting
- Regular DC site visits with customer representatives
- Relationship management with resident customer quality team
