- Base Salary Range for QUALITY COORDINATOR $59k - $89k
- Profit Sharing based on profitability of the company offered as a % of base salary.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection records, test results and quality reports.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems. (ISO, ONE Certification, BRC, HACCP, etc.)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
- Train and support employees on quality control processes and best practice.
- Ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
Relevant Experience & Strengths
- Ability to overcome ambiguous and complex situations
- Exemplary rigor in assuming responsibilities
- Leadership and expertise in promoting buy-in to proposed solutions
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities
- SQF experience ideal
- Bachelors degree in quality management, engineering or related manufacturing related field. Equivalent education and experience will be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
- 2-4 years experience in a quality role within a manufacturing industry, plastics manufacturing ideal.
- Extensive knowledge of continuous improvement and quality concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Agility needed to work with various technological tools
- Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset)
