Our client in the Civil Engineering Industry is seeking the expertise of a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their team in Johannesburg. Salary to be discussed in interview.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Have 10+ Years’ Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry
- Have vast knowledge on FIDEC / GCC / NEC contract terms
- Advanced experience on the latest MS Office programs\
Key Performance Areas:
- Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs.
- Preparing, negotiating and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts.
- Coordination of work effort.
- Advising on a range of legal and contractual issues.
- Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
- Ensure that all project information and contractual requirements have been received prior to tendering.
- Ensure all contractual issues are covered in tender letter and that the estimates and tender letters are sufficiently detailed.
- Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Perform risk, value management and cost control.
- Identify, analyses and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
