Job Description
Chrysalis Academy, a smoke, drug and alcohol free organisation seeks an energetic and highly motivated Individual for its position of Receptionist on a one-year renewable contract.
Purpose: To manage the reception area and switchboard function, and provide administrative support to the office of the CEO.
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Performance Areas
- Managing the Academys switchboard.
- Managing the reception area.
- Drafting, typing, filing, copying and scanning of documents.
- Data-capturing.
- Managing boardroom and meeting room bookings.
- Receiving visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Conducting switchboard training for all new interns.
- Minute taking at meetings.
- Providing administrative support to the Office of the CEO.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities assigned within the Academy.
Requirements, skills and competence:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Receptionist/Office Admin/Computer Studies certificate.
- At least 5 years relevant reception and administration experience.
- Experience working on a Learner Management System is advantageous.
- Competence in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace and PowerPoint or CANVA.
- Competent (verbal and written) in English and at least 1 other South African language.
- Pro-active, punctual and dependable.
- Attention to detail.
- Professional.
- Non-smoker and of sober habits.
