You are a proactive, self-motivated individual with previous experience in recruitment administration, ideally within the financial industry and have strong organizational skills. You thrive both working independently and collaborating as part of a team and have strong problem-solving abilities, which enable you to tackle challenges with ease. You handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and having a high attention to detail is second nature to you, ensuring accuracy in documentation and maintaining precise candidate records.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)

You will be providing valuable administrative support to the head of our financial markets team, which includes managing their calendar and preparing documents. Your role will involve assisting in the creation and posting of job advertisements, conducting initial screenings of candidates, coordinating interview schedules and keeping candidate records accurate and up-to-date in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

You will be actively sourcing potential candidates through various channels, conducting market research and assisting in drafting job descriptions to align them with the requirements and expectations of the Financial Markets division. Additionally, you will assist in conducting reference checks and employment verifications for selected candidates and support the recruitment team with any ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed. Our consultants are all specialists in their niche areas and our agency has teams in Engineering, Financial Markets, Commercial & Financial as well as IT and has representation both in Joburg and Cape Town.

What you'll need

You will need a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), as well as a valid driver's license and your own transport. Previous experience in a recruitment administration or support role, preferably within the financial markets industry, is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools are required. Familiarity with various sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, is advantageous. Knowledge of financial markets, roles, and terminology would be beneficial. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is also required for this role.
