Recruitment Specialist

What will you do?

As a Recruitment Specialist, youll be required to create a pipeline specifically relating to specialist, critical and scarce skills, for hard-to-fill roles. Youll be working with internal and external partners to help you get the job done. Your clients operate in a wide spectrum of disciplines in the business and all are world-class in their fields. Your knowledge of recruitment and selection has to be unassailable as their business partner.

What will make you successful in this role?
  • Develop an acute understanding of the business and provide solutions tailor-made for business needs.
  • Recruit for diverse assignments such as new business projects, acquired businesses and for the current operations.
  • Align recruitment and selection to Glaciers transformation plans especially related to specialist, critical and scarce skills.
  • Support the full cycle recruitment process from requisition through to the onboarding of candidates as is fit or purpose.
  • Ensure that job profiles/descriptions for vacancies are complete and up to date.
  • Draw up job postings and craft job ads to attract suitably qualified, experienced and culture fit candidates.
  • Headhunt for talent, targeting passive candidates and approach specific markets to address succession gaps.
  • Network with potential candidates through professional groups, online and during events such as job fairs.
  • Apply expertise and knowledge in sourcing candidates countrywide via a variety of direct sourcing platforms ncluding internal and external advertising, LinkedIn, social media and online recruitment portals.
  • Maintain a database of potential candidates for future talent requirements.
  • Implement and embed hiring processes, providing guidance and advice on routes to market and provide market and data insight to help stakeholders make informed decisions about the hires they make.
  • Screen, arrange interviews, and drive the process of assessments and conducting competency-based interviews here appropriate.
  • Provide feedback and negotiate the offer of employment.
  • Reduce recruitment spending by using direct sourcing methods to source candidates.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with hiring managers, employees, and prospective candidates.
  • Report regularly to the hiring manager, HR management and senior leadership on the progress of all ongoing recruitment processes.
  • Based on recruitment process feedback from line manager and candidates, implement changes to methods to foster continuous process/experience improvement.
  • Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill, and source of hire.
  • Measure the results of potential and successful candidates through experience surveys.
  • Assist and support HR management with annual recruitment and capacity planning.
  • Build and report on quarterly and annual hiring plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation underpinning recruitment such as the Employment Equity Act and recruitment policy.
  • Bachelor's degree in an HR field
  • A minimum of five years experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites like LinkedIn.
  • Recruitment experience within the financial, investment or related industry.
  • Recruitment experience with a background of agency, in-house, direct and online.
  • Global and countrywide recruitment exposure is advantageous.
  • An understanding of employment law and/or labour law.
Qualification And Experience

Degree with 5 to 6 years related experience.
