OUR SCHOOL
Reddam House Constantia is located in the beautiful Constantia Valley, opposite the award winning Steenberg vineyard and golf estate. Welcoming children from Stage 1 to Grade 12, we are a top performing IEB school that excels in equipping our students to thrive after school. ROLE SUMMARY:
To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hours 7.30 am 4.00pm
- Attending TA meetings
- Adventure Zone duty every second week in the afternoons. The alternate week is spent in the classrooms doing preparation.
- Classroom duties include:
- Holding duty
- Change nappies
- Assisting the teacher with Prep
- Tidying the classroom and lockers
- Packing the childrens bags
- Playground set ups
- Clean art trolleys
- Putting up art
- Adventure Zone duties and Holiday club duties include:
- Watching the children play
- Sleep duty
- Extra mural runner
- Lunch duty
- Activities
- Clean
- Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
- Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
- A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
- Ability to judge learning effectiveness
- Excellent preparation and planning
- Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
