Regional Manager: Internal Distribution

Job Description,

The Internal Distribution team is looking for an individual to effectively lead, manage and motivate the Financial Advisors within their team to ensure performance targets are achieved in line with the Advice and Distribution Strategy and in line with PPS values and culture.

Internal Distribution will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be part of the dynamic management team. We are looking for an established individual with leadership experience who can operate within a dynamic, fast paced, performance driven environment.

The scope of this role is to manage direct sales for PPS Internal Distribution. He/she is responsible for managing and training Financial Advisors and achieving sales targets for the region. The Financial Advisors are long term insurance and investments focused and makereferrals to the Short Term Insurance division and Health Professions Indemnity (HPI), in-house Fiduciary Services department, medical aid subsidiary Profmed and gluMutual subsidiary for insurance to the open market.

, Requirements,

Formal Qualifications
  • A relevant bachelors degree is essential
  • An Honours degree and PPS membership would be preferably
  • Certified Finance Planner would be advantageous
  • Completed RE5 (Representative) certificate
  • Completed RE1 (Key Individual) certificate
Knowledge And Experience
  • At least 2 years Sales Management experience in Sales and Distribution within the Financial Services or similar environment
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Insurance product sales or advice
  • Proven track record in people management and leading a sales team
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • The establishment of a good network and collaborative relationships to support the achievement of sales targets

, Duties and Responsibilities,

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, coach, develop and motivate a Financial Advisory team to ensure they deliver the required member experience, quality of service and personal targets
  • Accountable for the optimization for processes, resources and technology to assist financial advisors to fulfil their roles
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales activity and productivity management processes
  • Monitor compliance, recommendations and advice rendered to clients
  • Conduct performance management
  • Supervision in line with FAIS requirements
  • Keep abreast of changes in legislation, products processes and systems
  • Business Development

  • Knowledge and understanding of the PPS vision, strategy and member value proposition
  • Understanding of the PPS Advice and Distribution strategic objectives

This position is within a tied agency.

This is a hybrid position based at the Advisory Services head office in Johannesburg, Parktown.

The individual must be a South African citizen to be considered.

The individual must be a FAIS fit and proper key individual with clear criminal and credit records.
