Role SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Commercial Sales Agent, based in Johannesburg, specialising in new business development and solution selling to mining companies, EPCs, construction firms, and industrial clients across the SADC region.

The ideal candidate has a strong network within the mining and construction ecosystem and a proven ability to open doors with Procurement, Technical, Operations and Facility Management decision-makers in large mining houses and industrial groups.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prospecting & Business Development
  • Identify and approach decision-makers within mining companies, EPCs and construction firms.
  • Open new markets and accounts in mining and industrial sites across the Southern Africa region.
  • Build, update and qualify a structured client database.
2. Promotion & Sales of JPG Solutions
  • Present JPGs service offerings to Procurement, Technical, Maintenance and Facility Management teams.
  • Prepare and share proposals, brochures, presentations, and technical data sheets.
3. Client Follow-up & On-the-Ground Relationships
  • Conduct regular client visits in Johannesburg and key mining/industrial regions in South Africa and Southern Africa
  • Ensure systematic commercial follow-up and nurturing of opportunities through to closing.
4. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Tracking
  • Identify tenders, mine expansion projects, construction projects and CAPEX opportunities.
  • Channel opportunities to the relevant JPG business units and promote cross-selling.
5. Reporting
  • Submit a weekly commercial activity report.
  • Log and update all client interactions in the CRM.
Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience
  • 35 years experience in sales to mining, industrial or construction companies.
  • An active network in Johannesburg and/or the wider SADC mining and industrial ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of mining operational environments.
  • Proven track record in negotiation and market development.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential; French or other regional languages are a strong advantage.
