Purpose Of The Job
The Nurse is responsible for the general care and well-being of the clients through continuous monitoring. The incumbent must ensure that clients are always safe. The Nurse is further responsible for client-related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities Include
- Deliver nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, with continuous observation of physical and emotional state of clients.
- Identify, prevent, and report risks ensuring client safety.
- Contribute to a positive client experience by assisting in the creation of a conducive environment, within the scope of practice for enrolled nurse auxiliaries.
- Provide assistance to Caregivers regarding taking care of clients as operationally required.
- Sickbay service.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
- Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.
- Compliance with minimum norms & standards (health & safety regulations).
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Nursing Practitioner with a minimum of five years relevant experience and must be registered with SANC. Fluency in Afrikaans is essential, and the candidate must be willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. A valid drivers license will be advantageous. The successful applicant should demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to work independently. Compassion, initiative, and professionalism are key, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Strong interpersonal skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a client-focused approach are essential for this role.
