The Sewage plant operator is responsible for the effective operation of the sewage plant according to the Water permit requirements, inspect and clean pump station pumps and filters, operate and inspect water treatment plant and report non-conformances during the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible operation of the sewage plant according to the water permit
- Check pumpstation filters
- Clean filters
- Monitor water treatment plant
- Check water meter readings
- Do first line maintenance
- Report non-conformance load job cards
- Monthly stock taking.
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate: Water and waste water Treatment Process Operations.
- At least 5 years experience in a water treatment environment.
- Good communication, planning and organizing skills..
- Highly organized, punctual and self-motivated.
- Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
