The Financial Modeller will need to have a strong technical performance in the financial modelling space, to perform the financial modelling and assist with mergers and acquisitions in the Group.
Key responsibilities for the Financial Modeller:
- The candidate will report to the Head of Financial Control and will work closely with the Finance leadership.
- The role will be client-facing and include significant direct interaction and management and department line managers
- Take ownership of developing an ongoing bespoke budget, forecast models and project finance models
- Deliver high-quality outputs/models to specified deadlines
- Backtesting budgets, forecasts to actuals explaining variances
- Reviewing financial models, data, spreadsheets, budgets and reports, and translating quantitative information into easily communicable findings or implications
- Cleaning of data using Power Pivot, Power Query
- Revenue and EBITDA normalisations, net debt and debt-like considerations, capital adjustment and analysis
- Assist with adhoc tasks and projects
Key qualifications and experience required for the Financial Modeller:
- Must have 2+ years' experience working in a modelling and valuations team in a recognised accounting firm
- Strong skills in financial modelling software and tools
- Excellent skills in MS Excel
- Degree in Accounting, or Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Completed a professional qualification ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA), CFA, FMVA
- Proficient with 3 Financial Statements
- A demonstrable track record in business planning, project financial modelling and accounting
