Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Safety Officer located in Centurion.

The Senior Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring:

Managing HSE systems,
Compiling, Implementing and Maintaining safety files,
Assuring contractor compliance through arrangement of Medicals & inductions for operational teams.
Assuring ISO standards across multi-disciplinary environments & sites
Compiling workplace health and safety policies and procedures,
Conducting risk assessments,
Managing accident investigations,
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Assuring Teams Skills & Training are up to date & standards

The role will also involve conducting safety training sessions and working collaboratively with team members to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices
Experience in Accident Investigation and the ability to document and analyze incidents effectively
Skills in providing effective Safety Training to employees and teams
Understanding of Security protocols and measures
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Relevant certifications or training in occupational safety and health standards
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or operational setting
Proficiency in regulatory compliance and risk assessment methodologies
Leading experience in HSE management on high-risk mining and mechanical sites will be advantageous
Previously Liaised with mine safety management
SAMTRAC or HSEQ Qualification required.
