Intern - Safety Site supervisor

Stratogo is an expert HR Solutions Partner that provides customised employee solutions to businesses. We are currently seeking an Intern - Safety Site supervisor to oversee safety and operations at our clients site.

Position: Intern - Safety Site supervisor

Location: Prospecton

Number of positions: 1

Reporting to: Area Manager Role: Responsible for reiterating safety protocols and regulations in the workplace to prevent potential hazards and operational delays, facilitate training and programs for the employees and inform them of any communications related to their safety and wellbeing.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Tool box talk with staff members at the site.
• Ensuring full staff compliment at the beginning of shift
• Ensuring PPE compliance
• Ensuring that the staff have valid licences (forklift etc) and induction cards are visible at all times.
• Safety walks
• Raise SIOs (Safety Incident Observation)
• General overall safety at the plant.

Desired Experience and Qualification:

• Minimum 1 year experience in similar field.
• Must have Grade 12, Matric or NQF4 equivalent qualification
• Qualification in Health and Safety or related field.
• NOSA or SAMTRAC Certificate

Minimum requirements:

• Knowledge of the OHS Act, LRA, BCEA.
• Ability to lead, motivate and influence others to achieve Health and safety objectives
• Own Vehicle
• Ability to work various shifts.
• Clear criminal record.
