Sales Administrator (Contract)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Managing the sales order receipts email inbox and dissemination to the correct capturer of orders
  • Processing of product orders
  • Processing invoices for all sales transactions
  • Administration: with special consideration to filing of sales orders and POD's (proof of delivery) in full
  • Working closely with Operations team
  • Supporting the sales force with general operations to help reach the team's objectives.
  • Generate Daily sales reports and Open Order Reports to Management
  • Handling phone calls from customers and / or Sales Agents & handling these in a professional manner
  • Communicating internally important feedback from customers
  • Checks inventory to make sure requested product is available
  • Computes price and any appropriate discounts
  • Handles customer complaints
  • Prepares contracts and invoices as well as Pro-forma invoices and quotes
  • Verifies customer information is correct and up-to-date
  • Checks customer account for credit and outstanding payments
  • Informs customer of shipping date and any possible delays
  • Notifies appropriate department of order and shipping date
  • Monitors system for any variances in pricing and customer conditions and reports these to therespective Line Manager
  • Reviews orders for accuracy and completion
  • Strives to sell customer additional merchandise
  • May be required to send daily sales order reports to key functions such as Logistics / Sales Manager /Finance departments
  • Communicate via various mediums such as but not limited to, e-mail, telephone and in person withexternal customers as well as the Sales Agents and / or Direct Sales representatives of the organisation
  • Work towards Sales targets that have been set for the company by ensuring all orders are capturedtimeously and with the necessary speed and accuracy as key goals
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric Certificate
  • Any other relevant qualification will be advantageous
  • Relevant experience of 2-3 years in an Internal Sales environment
  • SAP experience
  • Must be computer literate
